El Yunque covers the Luquillo Mountains about 45 minutes east of San Juan. Trails lead to waterfalls such as La Mina and to lookouts like Yokahú Tower, while the tiny coquí frog fills the forest with its two-note call.
Access to the main road can require a timed vehicle reservation in busy periods, so check before you go.
